Lúcia Patrícia Faria de Sousa has been appointed, on a three-year service commission, as Director of the Organisation and Communications Department of the Madeira Social Security Institute.
The appointment of a new director for a department of the Madeira Social Security Institute, IP-RAM (ISSM, IP-RAM) has been published. The appointment was made through Order No. 364/2026 from the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth.
Lúcia Patrícia Faria de Sousa, who holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Minho, has been appointed to the position of Director of the Organisation and Communications Department of ISSM, IP-RAM. This is a first-level intermediate management position.
The appointment is made under a service commission regime for a period of three years and takes effect from September 7, 2026. The professional was already a Senior Technician on the Institute's staff and had been serving, since 2017, as Director of the Planning and Communications Unit of the same institution.
The recruitment procedure was carried out through a competition, with the jury proposing her appointment as they considered she met the requirements and profile needed to perform the duties. Her CV, attached to the order, details extensive professional experience in the social area and continuous training in public management, communications, and data protection.
