The Regional Sports Directorate has signed ten sports development program contracts, awarding financial support to regional clubs for the 2025/2026 season.
The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, through the Regional Sports Directorate (DRD), has approved a set of ten sports development program contracts (CPDD) for the 2025/2026 sports season. These agreements, published in a supplement to the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, aim to financially support participation in regional competitions, infrastructure maintenance, support for high-performance athletes, and event organization.
The support, totalling more than 440 thousand euros, is framed within the Regional Sports Support Plan for the 2025/2026 season, approved by Ordinance No. 625/2025, of November 10. The contracts are valid until December 31, 2026 and establish mutual obligations of control and accountability between the DRD and the beneficiary clubs.

The declared objectives of this support are to occupy the population's free time, promote healthy habits of sports practice and support the regional sports associative fabric. The clubs commit to presenting activity and financial reports, as well as applying the resources rigorously, combating violence, doping and all forms of discrimination in sport.
