The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation has launched a common competition to recruit 15 forest sappers, with applications open for 4 working days.
Notice No. 480/2026 has been published, opening a common competition to fill 15 job positions in the category of forest sapper, within the special career of forest sapper of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The positions are intended for the staff map of the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM (IFCN).
The competition is aimed at workers with or without a public employment link and aims to establish an indefinite-term public functions employment contract. Applications must be submitted within 4 working days from the publication of the notice in JORAM (September 22).
Main requirements:
Selection methods: Candidates will be subject to a knowledge test, physical tests, psychological assessment, and professional selection interview. The physical tests include a single-leg support test, push-ups, sit-ups, and the Cooper test (12 minutes), all of which are eliminatory.
Work location: The entire area of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Quota for people with disabilities: A quota of 5% of the total positions, corresponding to 1 job, is set for people with a functional disability degree equal to or greater than 60%.
