Open Competition for Food Safety Services Director in Madeira
The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries has opened a competitive procedure for the intermediate management position of 1st grade Director of Food Safety Services.
The Regional Government of Madeira has opened a public competition to fill the position of Director of Food Safety Services, an intermediate management position of the 1st grade within the Regional Directorate for Livestock and Animal Welfare. The procedure was opened through Notice No. 479/2026, published in the Official Journal.
The position will be filled on a service commission basis for a period of three years. Candidates must be public sector workers with a permanent contract or appointment, hold a bachelor's degree, and have six years of professional experience in roles requiring a degree. The required profile includes specialized knowledge in food safety, leadership skills, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
The workplace will be at the Regional Directorate for Livestock and Animal Welfare in Funchal. The remuneration follows the stipulations of Decree-Law No. 383-A/87, plus representation expenses. Selection will be made through curriculum evaluation and a public interview.
Applications must be submitted in person or sent by registered mail to the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, at Rua Dr. Pestana Júnior, No. 6, 5th floor, in Funchal, within a period of 10 working days from the publication of the notice.
The competition jury is chaired by Dr. Marco Alexandre Caldeira da Costa, Regional Director of Agriculture and Rural Development.
