The Council of the Government approved two votes of public praise for athletes and clubs from the region for medals won in European and national competitions.
The Regional Government approved two resolutions to publicly praise Madeiran athletes and clubs for their sporting achievements. The decisions were published in the Official Journal.

The praises were approved by the Council of the Government meeting in plenary on August 6, 2026, considering that the achievements brought prestige to the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
