Regional Government appoints new service directors on commission basis
The Regional Government of Madeira has appointed two new service directors for the Regional Directorate of Spatial Planning and the Regional Directorate of Roads.
The Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, in its 2nd supplement of the II Series of July 8, 2026, published two appointment orders for 1st-degree intermediate management positions, on a one-year commission basis:
- Virgínia Andreína Pestana do Nascimento: Appointed as Director of Administrative and Legal Services of the Regional Directorate of Spatial Planning, under Order No. 273/2026. The appointee holds a law degree and has previous experience in the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture.
- Marta Alexandra Rodrigues Alves: Appointed as Director of Technical Support Services of the Regional Directorate of Roads, under Order No. 274/2026. The appointee holds a degree in Topographic Engineering and was already part of the staff at the Regional Directorate of Roads.
Both appointments take effect from July 2026 and aim to ensure the operation of the new core structures recently created in the respective regional services.
