The Government Council authorized the direct sale of a rural property in Caniço, Santa Cruz, to Mr. Manuel António Rodrigues João for 24,500 euros.
The Regional Government of Madeira authorized the sale of a property considered surplus in the municipality of Santa Cruz. The decision was made through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 738/2026.
The resolution authorizes the direct sale of a rural property located at the site of Caniço de Baixo para a Cidade, in the parish of Caniço, municipality of Santa Cruz. The land has a total area of 371 square meters.
The property is registered in the land registry under article 116, section "FFF" and described in the Santa Cruz Land Registry Office under number 7129/20260326. It was considered unnecessary for the pursuit of public interest purposes, fitting into the policy of rationalizing the regional real estate portfolio.
The buyer is Mr. Manuel António Rodrigues João, who expressed interest in the acquisition. The sale price was set at 24,500.00 € (twenty-four thousand five hundred euros), based on an appraisal promoted by the Regional Directorate of Heritage and approved by the Regional Secretary of Finance.
The Regional Secretary of Finance was mandated to represent the Autonomous Region of Madeira and execute the purchase and sale contract.
Lúcia Patrícia Faria de Sousa will take on management, public service, communication and document organisation responsibilities at the Madeira Social Security Institute. The subdelegation has been effective since 7 September 2026.
