Regularization of Beach Support Equipment in Porto Santo
Request approved for regularization of water resource use for a complete beach support facility at Cabeço da Ponta.
The Regional Directorate for Environment and Sea approved, through Notice No. 9/2026, the request for regularization of water resource use submitted by the entity Vila Baleira Porto Santo S.A..
The request refers to the Beach Support Equipment (BSE), located on the property adjacent to Cabeço da Ponta Beach, in the municipality of Porto Santo. The facility, with an area of 308 m2 and public space belonging to the public maritime domain, will be used for a period of 25 years.
This is a core of functions and services that integrates a food and beverage establishment and offers a Complete Beach Support (CBS) service. This service includes an information and surveillance post, emergency line, first aid post, storage, changing rooms/showers, sanitary facilities, terrace, outdoor showers, and ensures beach cleaning.
The notice was published to comply with the law, opening a 30-day period for possible claims by interested parties, which must be addressed to the Regional Directorate for Environment and Sea.
