The company Circo Mundial Mariani has applied for a license to occupy an 11,699 m² area near Cais 8, between November 2026 and January 2027.
The Administration of Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (APRAM, S.A.) has made public, through Notice No. 7/2026, a request from the company «Circo Mundial Mariani, Lda.» for the use of a parcel of the public port domain.
The company intends to install and operate an "Amusement Park and Circus" on an area of 11,699 m², adjacent to Cais 8 of the Port of Funchal, in the parish of Sé. The occupation is scheduled for the period between November 13, 2026 and January 25, 2027.
In return, the applicant proposes to pay the amount of €81,000.00 (plus VAT at the legal rate) and to provide 500 tickets for an exclusive APRAM session.
The notice, which fulfills legal advertising obligations, invites other potential interested parties in the use of the same parcel to express their interest to APRAM services within a period of 30 working days from its publication. If more interested parties emerge, a competitive bidding procedure will be opened, in which the first applicant enjoys the right of preference.
