The Regional Government has approved a public commendation for Madeiran athlete Ivone de Fátima Silva, of the Jardim da Serra Cultural and Sports Association, in recognition of her achievements in paragliding.
The athlete won two bronze medals: one at the 37th British and Dutch Championships and another at the 6th British and Irish Sport Championships, both in the women's overall events. The resolution also commends her club and notes that these results brought prestige to the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The honour was formalised by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 938/2026.
Danilo José Moniz Ferreira received a public commendation for winning the bronze medal with the national team at the 2026 Wheelchair Handball World Championship. The coach represents Clube Naval Setubalense.
Seventeen social economy organisations will sign programme contracts under PROAGES II, with total funding of up to €2,016,000. The contracts run until 31 December 2026 and may cover expenses incurred throughout the year.
A correction notice restores the annex omitted from the resolution awarding the Honorary Insignia of Prestige - “50 Years of Autonomy” in 2026. The list names recipients across seven areas, including people honoured posthumously and regional organisations.
