The Madeira Social Security Institute has been authorised to incur €60,000 in rental costs between 2026 and 2031 for premises intended for the Calheta Local Service. The space will provide general reception and social support services.
The Madeira Social Security Institute, IP-RAM, may enter into a lease for a self-contained unit for non-residential use, intended to house and operate the Calheta Local Social Security Service. The authorisation is set out in Ordinance No. 572/2026 and covers total costs of €60,000, exempt from VAT.
The property, located in the municipality of Calheta, will be used for general reception and social support services. The authorised allocation of costs is as follows:
According to the ordinance, the lease is intended to ensure the continuity and quality of services provided to the public. The expenditure will be included in the Madeira Social Security Institute's budgets for the years listed. The commitment relating to future years was recorded in the Financial Information System under No. 2826010547.
Ordinance No. 572/2026 was signed on 29 September and enters into force on the working day following its publication.
The Madeira Social Security Institute may incur costs of €1,344,686.40 between 2026 and 2029 to fund the specialist day centres in Várzea and Romeiras. The monthly contribution will rise from €36,517.61 to €37,352.40 from 1 October 2026.
