Social Security appoints Joana Rodrigues to head the Department of Contributors
Joana Sofia de Ornelas Rodrigues will head the Department of Contributors at the Madeira Social Security Institute for a three-year term. Her appointment takes effect on 1 October 2026.
Joana Sofia de Ornelas Rodrigues has been appointed director of the Department of Contributors at the Madeira Social Security Institute, IP-RAM (ISSM, IP-RAM), a senior management position. Her appointment is for a three-year term and takes effect on 1 October 2026.
The appointment was made under Order No. 381/2026 of the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, following a competitive recruitment procedure. The selection panel recommended the candidate, considering that she met the requirements and had the profile needed for the position.
Joana Sofia de Ornelas Rodrigues holds a degree in Economics from the University of Madeira. Since 2019, she has held management positions in the Debt Management and Collection Unit of the ISSM, IP-RAM Department of Contributors. Before that, she worked in the Institute’s Enforcement Proceedings Section and, earlier, in the current accounts area of the Madeira Social Security Centre.
