The Regional Directorate for Sport has signed ten programme contracts to support travel and daily allowances for Madeira clubs during the 2025/2026 season. The maximum grants total €76,356.84 and cover regional and national competitions across several sports.
The Regional Directorate for Sport (DRD) will contribute towards the travel costs of ten Madeira clubs taking part in sports competitions during the 2025/2026 season. The programme contracts, published in JORAM, are intended to cover travel and daily allowance expenses for sports participants, subject to proof of participation and eligible costs.
The amounts are maximum grants: if the eligible expenses submitted are lower, the grant will be adjusted to the amount actually approved. Clubs must also submit financial and sporting documentation and meet the obligations set out in the contracts. All contracts take effect from the date of signature until 31 December 2026.
The contracts provide for the grants under the Regional Sports Support Plan for the 2025/2026 season, approved by Ordinance No. 625/2025 of 18 November. The DRD is responsible for monitoring and auditing the financial implementation, while the clubs must provide evidence of expenses and participation in competitions.
The Regional Directorate for Sport has signed six programme agreements to support competitions, travel, events, training and high-potential athletes in the 2025/2026 season. The maximum amounts total 116,804.70 euros.
The Madeira Autonomous Region Karate Association may receive up to €9,553 to cover travel and daily allowances for sports representatives attending national competitions. The programme contract also requires regional teams to wear kit in the Region’s colours and display the name “Discover Madeira”.
A new regulation sets out how residential care homes in the Region must operate, from admission and support to facilities and young people’s participation. The rules take effect the day after publication.
