PROAGES II program approved with 2 million euros to support families

The Regional Government has approved the regulations for PROAGES II, a program providing supplementary income support to households in an intermediate socioeconomic situation, with a total allocation of 2,016,000 euros.

The Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Work and Youth has approved the Regulations for the Program for Supporting Social Stability Guarantee 2026 (PROAGES II) through Ordinance No. 424/2026.

The program, with a total allocation of 2,016,000.00 €, aims to provide supplementary income support from work to households in an intermediate socioeconomic situation, helping to compensate for the rising cost of living. The support is paid in a single installment, as a contribution to fixed monthly expenses for water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications.

Households residing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) whose Gross Annual Income (RAB) is between 14,700.00€ and 35,688.00€ can apply. The support amounts are:

  • 300€ for households without dependents.
  • 400€ for households with 1 dependent.
  • 500€ for households with 2 or more dependents.

The program will be managed in partnership with Social Economy Entities, which can apply to become promoting entities. The allocation of 2,016,000€ includes 1,816,000€ for distribution by municipalities and parishes and an additional 200,000€ for entities of regional scope.

Applications from beneficiaries must be submitted by November 15, 2026 to the promoting entity in their area of residence. The program takes effect retroactively from January 1, 2026.
