The Regional Government has authorized financial aid to two organizations to support Madeirans and Portuguese descendants in vulnerable situations in Venezuela.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved the allocation of a total of 55,000 euros in humanitarian aid to two organizations operating in Venezuela, with the specific objective of supporting Madeirans and Portuguese descendants in situations of need. The decision was made under a budgetary allocation intended for situations of urgent and compelling need affecting emigrant communities.
The support was authorized through two resolutions that allow the signing of program contracts with the following entities:
The funds are intended for the acquisition and distribution of essential goods such as food, medicine, hygiene products, clothing, and healthcare, as well as other social recovery actions. The program contracts are valid until June 30, 2027, and the Director of Regional Communities and External Cooperation, José Sancho Gonçalves Gomes, was mandated to execute them.

The Autonomous Region of Madeira has allocated a total of 95 thousand euros in humanitarian aid to four institutions supporting Madeirans and Portuguese descendants in Venezuela.
The Regional Youth Directorate will sign programme-contracts with three Madeiran associations, awarding a total support of 18,000 euros for their activity plans.
