The Regional Government of Madeira has approved a program contract with the animal protection association for the year 2026.
The Regional Government Council has authorized, through Resolution no. 651/2026, the signing of a program contract with PR - Patinhas Risonhas Associação (legal entity no. 517 450 178). This financial support, which amounts to a maximum of €30,000.00, is intended to cover expenses for actions and acquisitions provided for in the Financial Support Regime for Animal Protection Associations of the Autonomous Region of Madeira during the year 2026.
The measure recognizes the fundamental role of these associations in the collection, housing, and welfare of companion animals, as well as in promoting responsible ownership. The contract is effective from the date of its signing until December 31, 2026.
The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection approved the internal redistribution of 420,000 euros in financial support to the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association across three support programmes.
The Parish Church Factory of Prazeres will receive a financial contribution of 20,000 euros to ensure the normal operation of the Prazeres Educational Farm in 2026.
The total budget for the construction and equipping of an elderly care home managed by the 'September 4, 1862' Mutual Aid Association has been increased to over 4.2 million euros.
