Regional Government supports three animal protection associations with 50,000 euros
The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized financial support for three animal protection associations for the year 2026.
The Regional Government Council has approved the signing of program contracts with three animal protection associations, aiming to support expenses for actions and acquisitions during the year 2026. The total support amounts to 50,000.00 euros, distributed as follows:
- AAAC - Associação Ajuda a Alimentar Cães: Support up to €30,000.00 (Resolution no. 614/2026).
- AMAIS - Associação Madeira Animais: Support up to €10,000.00 (Resolution no. 615/2026).
- AAMA - Associação Amigos dos Animais do Porto Santo: Support up to €10,000.00 (Resolution no. 616/2026).
These contracts, which are valid until December 31, 2026, aim to strengthen the role of these entities in the collection, housing, and welfare of companion animals in the Region.
