SESARAM authorizes expenses for hospital storage and transport
Madeira's Health Service (SESARAM) approved the redistribution of funds for a warehouse lease contract and for the operational rental of a heavy goods vehicle.
Two significant expenses have been authorized for the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, EPERAM (SESARAM, EPERAM), related to support infrastructure and logistics.
The first measure refers to a contract for the partial sublease of a space for the storage of hospital materials and clinical and non-clinical archives. The second authorizes the operational rental of a heavy goods vehicle.
The decisions were formalized through the following ordinances:
- Ordinance No. 409/2026: Proceeds with the redistribution and alteration of budgetary charges for the signing of a partial sublease contract, for a period of 15 years, for the installation of public services. The total base price is €2,394,296.13 (VAT exempt) and the charges are distributed across the economic years from 2021 to 2036.
- Ordinance No. 410/2026: Authorizes the distribution of budgetary charges related to the provision of operational rental services for a heavy goods vehicle, for a period of 48 months. The total base price is €77,326.08 (plus 22% VAT), corresponding to an annual price of €19,331.52. The charges are staggered between 2026 and 2030.
Both expenses are provided for in the SESARAM budget for 2026, under funding source 319.

Adaptations are being considered at the Porto da Cruz Nursing Home and São Roque Community Centre to accommodate people who are medically fit for discharge but cannot return home for social reasons. The number of places has not yet been set, and the works have not been authorised.
