Open Competition for Three Senior Environmental Health Technicians at the Regional Health Directorate
The Regional Health Directorate has opened an internal competition to fill three permanent positions for senior environmental health technicians.
The Regional Health Directorate (DRS) has announced the opening of a common competitive procedure to recruit three senior diagnostic and therapeutic technicians, specialists in the profession of environmental health technician. The competition was opened by order of the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, dated March 3, 2026.
This is an internal general access competition, intended for workers who already hold an indefinite-term public employment legal relationship. Candidates must have at least three years of effective experience in the category and a positive performance evaluation. The deadline for submitting applications is 3 working days, counted from the publication of the notice in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM).
The selection method will be a public discussion of the curriculum, with a maximum duration of fifty minutes. The list of admitted candidates and the final unified ranking list will be posted at the DRS facilities and made available on its website.
The competition jury is composed of:
- President: Dr. Maria de Fátima Barreto Camacho, Principal Specialist Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technician, profession of Environmental Health Technician at the Regional Health Directorate.
- Effective Members: Dr. Maria da Conceição Alves Sardinha Homem da Costa, Specialist Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technician, profession of Environmental Health Technician at the Regional Health Directorate; and Dr. Sílvia Cristina Ribeiro da Silva, Specialist Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technician, profession of Environmental Health Technician at the Barcelos/Esposende Local Health Unit.
- Substitute Members: Dr. Mónica Susana Garrido Mata, Specialist Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technician, profession of Environmental Health Technician at the São João Local Health Unit; and Dr. Cláudia Helena Alpoim da Silva, Specialist Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technician, profession of Environmental Health Technician at the Alto Minho Local Health Unit.
