A new order revises the annual allocation of costs under the contract to supervise and coordinate construction of Madeira Central Hospital, keeping the total at €13,206,950.41. Payments are scheduled from 2020 to 2040, plus VAT at the applicable rate.
The Regional Government has amended and reallocated the budget costs for the contract “MADEIRA CENTRAL HOSPITAL - CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION SERVICES”, procedure no. 6/2020. Order No. 576/2026 of 2 October revises the allocation previously approved by Order No. 353/2026 and keeps the total at €8,206,950.41.
The costs are allocated across the following financial years:
The order stipulates that the amount allocated for each year may be increased by any balance recorded in the previous year. The 2026 expenditure is covered by the Autonomous Region of Madeira’s budget for that year, while the amounts for 2027 to 2040 must be included in the respective draft budgets. VAT at the applicable rate is added to the amounts shown.
The order was signed by the Regional Secretary for Finance, Duarte Nuno Nunes de Freitas, and the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure, Pedro Alexandre Fagundes de Freitas Rodrigues. It enters into force on the working day following its publication.
The Regional Government has extended until 31 May 2027 the transitional rules allowing certain ships to berth at the north and south quays of Caniçal Port. The measure will be reviewed when the technical studies are complete, or earlier if the necessary conditions are met.
The Region has redistributed the costs of the procedure to rebuild coastal protection at the Seixal wastewater treatment plant over three years. The total is €2.96 million, plus VAT.
