The Region has approved maximum expenditure of €5,491,356, plus VAT, to design and build 22 homes in Bairro da Nogueira, Camacha. The project also includes infrastructure and landscaping and will be put out to public tender.
The Regional Government Council has authorised expenditure for the design and construction of 22 homes, infrastructure and landscaping in Bairro da Nogueira, Camacha, in the municipality of Santa Cruz. The maximum amount is €5,491,356, plus VAT at the applicable rate.
The project will be carried out by IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM, as part of its responsibility to promote social housing. The resolution places the project within the priority given to social housing in the 16th Regional Government's Programme for 2025-2029 and the Regional Housing Strategy 2020-2030.
The expenditure will be borne by IHM for the years 2026 to 2029. Costs relating to 2027, 2028 and 2029 are to be included in the respective budget proposals of the public company. The assumption of multi-year commitments had been provided for in Ordinance No. 541/2026 of 23 September.
Regional Government Council Resolution No. 930/2026 stipulates that the project be awarded through a public tender and approves the draft tender notice, tender specifications and contract documents, as well as the proposed jury. IHM's Board of Directors is also authorised to carry out the procurement procedure, including actions relating to contract execution.
Works worth €142,172.75, plus VAT, have been ordered not to proceed under the first-phase tunnel contract for the Quebradas-Amparo link. The decision aims to coordinate this phase with the future connection to a section of the VR1 Link Tunnel.
The Regional Government has opened public consultations on the ER 120 project between Ribeiro Cochino and Calheta, and the first phase of the Ribeira Brava seafront and channel works at the river’s lower stretch. Interested parties may submit suggestions, complaints and comments within the deadlines set out in the notices.
The Region will acquire, by agreement under private law, two plots needed for works between Caminho da Barreira and Curral Velho. The approved compensation totals €6,376.50.
