The Government Council approved the expropriation of a plot in Palmeira and the acquisition of another in Santo António to proceed with drainage works and access improvements.
The Regional Government Council authorized, in a plenary meeting on August 20, two land acquisition operations necessary for the execution of public infrastructure works in the Region.
The decisions aim to guarantee the availability of land for projects considered to be of public interest, one related to water resource management and the other to road safety in high-altitude areas.

The Government Council approved revised purchase values for two housing projects, totaling over 10 million euros, due to increased construction costs.
Ordinance No. 403/2026 authorizes the allocation of 2,160,500 euros for the 'ER 120 - Ribeiro Cochino/Calheta' construction project, with staggered payments until 2027.
