Regional Government authorizes complementary works at Machico Health Center
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved complementary works to ensure the watertightness of the Machico Health Center building.
The Regional Government Council, through Resolution no. 575/2026, has authorized complementary works for the energy improvement project at the Machico Health Center. This intervention is part of the contract signed between the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the company RIM - Engenharia e Construções, S.A., integrated into a broader project for energy efficiency in two public buildings.
Following a technical analysis of the construction progress, it was found that the building continued to show issues related to water infiltration. To ensure the proper watertightness of the infrastructure, it was determined that the entire roof capping needs to be replaced and waterproofed.
Intervention details:
- Executing entity: RIM - Engenharia e Construções, S.A.
- Value of complementary works: € 60,743.04 (plus VAT at the current legal rate).
- Legal framework: Article 370 of the Public Procurement Code.
- Deadline: The execution of these works does not imply an extension of the original 360-day contract period.
The resolution delegates to the Regional Secretary of Equipment and Infrastructure the powers to sign the contract amendment, with the Regional Director of Social Equipment and Conservation responsible for managing the execution phase. The financial costs will be covered by funds allocated in the Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, as provided for in Ordinance no. 235/2026.
