Regional Government boosts investment in energy rehabilitation of four housing estates
The Regional Government of Madeira has redistributed budgetary burdens for four energy efficiency improvement projects in social housing managed by IHM.
The Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure has published a set of ordinances aimed at modifying and redistributing budgetary burdens for the rehabilitation and improvement of energy efficiency in four housing estates in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. These interventions, fundamental for the sustainability and comfort of residents, are under the purview of IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM.
The projects covered are as follows:
- Queimada housing estate (EMP-R/1/2025): Maximum value of €975,000.00, under Ordinance no. 283/2026.
- Serrado do Mar housing estate (EMP-R/3/2025): Maximum value of €698,000.00, under Ordinance no. 284/2026.
- Pico dos Barcelos housing estate - Lots 1 and 2 (EMP-R/5/2025): Maximum value of €1,105,049.18, under Ordinance no. 285/2026.
- Torre III housing estate (EMP-R/6/2025): Maximum value of €179,000.00, under Ordinance no. 286/2026.
The amounts, to which VAT at the current legal rate is added, are included in the budget of IHM, EPERAM, under organic classification 50 8 06 01 00, Project 52770, Measure 102. The measure allows the balance determined in each financial year to be added to the amount set for the following year, ensuring the continuity of the works.
