Santo Antonio junction redevelopment moves forward with investment exceeding 7.6 million euros
The Regional Government has authorized the expenditure for the Santo Antonio junction and access roads redevelopment project, aiming to improve road safety and traffic flow.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution no. 240/2026, the expenditure for the contract designated as "Redevelopment of the Santo Antonio Junction and Accesses. Contract", up to the amount of €7,650,500.00, plus VAT at the current legal rate.
This decision follows the revocation of a previous procedure, maintaining the pressing need to intervene in the area to strengthen road traffic safety and the operational efficiency of the Expressway (VR1). The project will be executed through an international public tender, with publication in the Official Journal of the European Union, with the authority to conduct the procedure delegated to the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure.
