Regional Government redistributes 115 million euros for the acquisition of 533 housing units
The Regional Government of Madeira has reprogrammed budgetary expenses for the purchase of 533 new homes under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Through Ordinance no. 173/2026, the Regional Government of Madeira has amended and redistributed the budgetary expenses allocated for the acquisition of 533 housing units, in new condition and free of liens or encumbrances. This operation, integrated into the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), amounts to a maximum value of 115,475,187.21 €.
The acquisition, divided into two phases (286 units in the 1st phase and 247 in the 2nd phase), will have its budgetary impact staggered as follows:
- Financial Year 2024: 44,299,563.45 €
- Financial Year 2025: 64,900,794.11 €
- Financial Year 2026: 6,274,829.65 €
The amounts are managed by IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM, and the mentioned values do not include VAT at the current legal rate. This ordinance has retroactive effects to December 18, 2024.
