The Regional Secretary for Finance, Duarte Nuno Nunes de Freitas, has determined, through Order No. 436/2026, the establishment of a petty cash fund at the Regional Heritage Directorate, in the monthly amount of €15,000.00. The order was signed on 26 October 2026 and takes effect immediately.

Justification#

According to the order, the functions of the Regional Heritage Directorate require urgent payments, purchases and collections, which cannot be delayed by bureaucratic procedures. The fund is established under Article 32 of Decree-Law No. 155/92, of 28 July, which sets out the financial administration regime of the State, and Regional Regulatory Decree No. 12/2026/M, of 12 June, which implements the Regional Budget for 2026.

Distribution by budget items#

The fund is divided between two financial centres:

  • M100333 (Sec. 47 Cap. 01 Div. 02 Subdiv. 04): €13,000.00, with the largest shares going to Other services (€10,000.00), Court Fees (€1,300.00), Other goods (€500.00), Mandatory Advertising (€750.00), Maintenance of goods (€300.00), Other (€100.00) and Fuels and Lubricants (€50.00).
  • M100334 (Sec. 47 Cap. 50 Div. 02 Subdiv. 07): €2,000.00, divided between Court Fees (€1,500.00) and Other services (€500.00).

Responsible officers#

The fund is under the responsibility of senior technical officer João Francisco Pereira da Conceição de Oliveira Fernandes. In his absence or impediment, it falls under the responsibility of senior technical officer Nádia Carina Ponte de Jesus Oliveira.

The order revokes Petty Cash Fund Order No. 35/2026, of 29 January, as amended by Rectification Declaration No. 13/2026, of 3 February. The replenishment and return of the fund after the annual period must take place at the Treasury of the Regional Government of Madeira.
