Government sells eleven rural plots by direct award
The Regional Government authorized the sale of eleven rural plots located in Caniço and Curral das Freiras to two private individuals, for a total of 137,690 euros.
The Regional Government Council approved the disposal of eleven rural properties considered surplus, meaning they are no longer needed for public interest purposes. The sales were authorized by direct award, a simplified procedure allowed for values up to a certain amount.
The decisions are contained in two resolutions and involve the following transactions:
- Sale of two plots in Caniço (Santa Cruz): Authorized by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 700/2026.
- Buyer: José David Vieira Barradas.
- Location: Sítio da Tendeira, parish of Caniço.
- Description and Value:
- Plot "One" with 120 m², sold for 5,550.00 €.
- Plot "Two" with 600 m², sold for 131,480.00 €.
- Total Value: 137,030.00 €.
- Sale of one plot in Curral das Freiras (Câmara de Lobos): Authorized by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 701/2026.
- Buyer: Celestino Ronaldo Rebolo Abreu Silva.
- Location: Sítio da Achada, parish of Curral das Freiras.
- Description and Value: Plot with 18 m², sold for 660.00 €.
The sale prices were established based on appraisals promoted by the Regional Directorate of Heritage and approved by the Regional Secretary of Finance. The measure fits within the Regional Government's policy of rationalizing and making public assets profitable, also contributing to revenue generation.
