Public Management graduate Jean Diego de Freitas takes over the direction of the new department at the Budget, Treasury and Finance Entity of the RAM.
Through Order No. 248/2026, from the Regional Secretariat of Finance, Jean Diego de Freitas was appointed to the position of Director of Services of the Public Revenue Control Department (DCR), integrated into the core structure of the Budget, Treasury and Finance Entity of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (EOTF).
The appointment, lasting one year, is based on the creation of the new core structure approved by Ordinance No. 210/2026, of May 15, and amended by Ordinance No. 229/2026, of June 3. The new director, who holds a degree in Public Management, has an extensive professional background in the budgetary and financial area of the regional administration.
The order takes effect on June 1, 2026, with the necessary budgetary provision for the exercise of the functions.
The Regional Government Council approved an extraordinary financial support of 5 million euros to cover the non-deductible VAT borne by entities executing projects under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Ordinance No. 428/2026 authorizes an extraordinary financial support of up to 4 million euros to reimburse VAT borne and not recovered by social solidarity institutions with projects financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Order No. 418/2026 establishes a new unit rate for the Tax on Petroleum and Energy Products (ISP) applicable to road diesel in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
