Government sets new maximum prices for gasoline and diesel
Joint Order No. 59/2026 approves the maximum retail prices for fuels to be in effect in Madeira from July 3.
The regional secretaries of Economy and Finance have approved the new maximum prices at which fuels can be sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Joint Order No. 59/2026, signed on July 3, establishes the values that come into force from 00:00 on July 13, 2026.
The maximum retail prices to the public are as follows:
- Unleaded gasoline IO 95: €1.768 per liter.
- Road diesel: €1.666 per liter.
- Colored and marked diesel: €1.224 per liter.
This approval is carried out under the terms of Ordinance No. 25/2022, which defines the calculation formula for fuel prices in the RAM, and comes in coordination with the update of the ISP tax rates published on the same day.

Maximum retail fuel prices in the Autonomous Region of Madeira take effect at midnight on 3 October 2026. Unleaded 95 petrol will cost €2.021 per litre and road diesel €2.120.
