Madeira Government Sets New Maximum Fuel Prices
Joint Order No. 64/2026 establishes new maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel, effective July 27.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved, through Joint Order No. 64/2026, the new maximum retail prices for fuels. The measure, signed by the regional secretaries of Economy and Finance, comes into effect from 00:00 on July 27, 2026.
The new maximum prices, established under the terms of Ordinance No. 25/2022, of January 26, are as follows:
- Unleaded Super Gasoline IO 95: €1.855 per litre
- Road Diesel: €1.866 per litre
- Coloured and Marked Diesel: €1.408 per litre
This order aims to regulate the fuel market in the Autonomous Region, defining the maximum ceiling that can be charged at petrol stations. The prices for coloured and marked diesel, used in agricultural and industrial machinery, remain significantly below the prices of fuels for road transport.
