Regional Government formalizes partnership with APSRAM for the management of Madeira Cider Houses
Resolution no. 578/2026 authorizes the signing of a protocol between the Regional Government and APSRAM for the operational management of the Madeira Cider Houses (SIDRAM) network.
The Regional Government Council, through Resolution no. 578/2026, has authorized the signing of an institutional cooperation protocol with the Association of Cider Producers of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (APSRAM). The objective is to define the terms for the operational and functional management of the facilities, equipment, and utensils of the Madeira Cider Houses (SIDRAM) network.
This partnership aims to:
- Centralize and simplify administrative and tax procedures, namely the management of tax warehouses for cider production and storage.
- Ensure compliance with the new rules of the Special Consumption Tax Code (CIEC).
- Enhance the value of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) "Sidra da Madeira".
- Manage the Santo António da Serra unit and future infrastructure, such as the São Roque do Faial cider house.
The measure reinforces the role of associations as a strategic instrument for the regional production sector.
