The Regional Government of Madeira has approved sports development program contracts with five regional clubs to support travel expenses for the 2025/2026 season.
The Regional Government Council of Madeira has authorized, through five separate resolutions, the signing of sports development program contracts (CPDD) aimed at supporting travel and daily allowance costs for sports agents. This support aims to mitigate the costs increased by insularity and ultra-periphery, enabling the participation of athletes and teams in regional and national competitions during the 2025/2026 sports season.

The contracts, approved by the Regional Secretary of Education, Science and Technology, are effective from the date of signing and remain in force until December 31, 2026, being financed by the Regional Directorate of Sports budget.
The Regional Government Council approved the proposal to grant the concession and management of the Calheta Hydroelectric Power Plant to Empresa de Eletricidade da Madeira, S.A.
