The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized the distribution of budgetary charges of up to 3.5 million euros for IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, targeting social housing policy.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through Ordinance no. 204/2026, has authorized the distribution of budgetary charges intended for IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM. This measure aims to compensate for the operating deficit resulting from the implementation of social housing policy, including the allocation of social rents and other missions of public interest in the sector.
The maximum total amount of €3,500,000.00 is staggered as follows:
The ordinance also establishes that the amount set for each year may be increased by the balance calculated in the previous year. The expenditure for 2026 is covered by the budget of the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, while the funds for 2027 will be included in the respective budget proposal.
