Government invests 1.2 million euros in agriculture, rehabilitation and health
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved a set of investment measures for 2026, focused on strategic sectors:
- National Agriculture Fair: Allocation of €160,000.00 to the Associação da Costa Oeste (ACOESTE) (Resolution no. 255/2026) for the organization of Madeira's institutional stand in Santarém, from June 6 to 14.
- Modernization of the São Vicente Winery: Recognition as a Project of Strategic Interest (Resolution no. 256/2026) of the application by the Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Handicrafts Institute, IP-RAM, aiming to increase the competitiveness of the regional wine sector.
- Rehabilitation of Largo da República: Program contract with SMD - Sociedade Metropolitana de Desenvolvimento, S. A. (Resolution no. 257/2026) with total support of €400,000.00, phased until 2028 (€100,000 in 2026, €200,000 in 2027 and €100,000 in 2028).
- Nursing Training: Support of €500,000.00 to the Escola Superior de Enfermagem São José de Cluny (Resolution no. 258/2026) to ensure the training of professionals for the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, EPERAM.
