ARDITI receives financial boost for underwater vehicle acquisition
The Regional Government has approved an amendment to the program contract with ARDITI to ensure the acquisition of a 1000-meter autonomous underwater vehicle.
Regional Government Council Resolution No. 250/2026 authorizes the amendment of the program contract signed with ARDITI - Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation - Association. The adjustment aims to secure the financial means for the acquisition of an unmanned autonomous underwater vehicle, capable of operating at a depth of 1000 meters and equipped with scientific sensors.
The maximum amount for the operation is €2,550,000.00, with the following financial breakdown:
- 2025 fiscal year: €1,159,000.00
- 2026 fiscal year: €1,391,000.00
This investment is part of the Ocean Technologies component of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), aiming at the systematic collection of data in the Region's Exclusive Economic Zone.
