The Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira has updated the price lists for services provided by CARAM - Autonomous Region of Madeira Slaughter Center, EPERAM. The update reflects a 3.33% coefficient, corresponding to the variation in the consumer price index (excluding housing) recorded in the previous year.
The changes were formalized through two separate legal acts:
Both ordinances entered into force the day after their publication in the Official Journal, on April 1, 2026, and include detailed tables for various species, such as cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, equines, and rabbits, covering services for slaughter, carcass preparation, transport, and vehicle washing.
Ordinance no. 146/2026 introduces technical adjustments to the support scheme for the recovery of agricultural holdings affected by disasters.
The Regional Government has authorized the fourth amendment to the program contract with APRAM, rescheduling the 7 million euro investment until 2028.
The new maximum retail fuel prices come into effect in the Autonomous Region of Madeira starting March 30, 2026.
