The Regional Government has updated the prices for services provided by the Autonomous Region of Madeira Slaughter Center (CARAM) for 2026.
The Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira has updated the price lists for services provided by CARAM - Autonomous Region of Madeira Slaughter Center, EPERAM. The update reflects a 3.33% coefficient, corresponding to the variation in the consumer price index (excluding housing) recorded in the previous year.
The changes were formalized through two separate legal acts:
Both ordinances entered into force the day after their publication in the Official Journal, on April 1, 2026, and include detailed tables for various species, such as cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, equines, and rabbits, covering services for slaughter, carcass preparation, transport, and vehicle washing.
The Regional Government Council approved the proposal to grant the concession and management of the Calheta Hydroelectric Power Plant to Empresa de Eletricidade da Madeira, S.A.
The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries has introduced changes to the milk sector support scheme, setting the subsidy value per animal.
Candidates for the Technical Assistant position at the Regional Directorate of Commerce, Industry and Quality will take the test on July 13.
