Machico Chamber Tuna Receives €967.97 in Support for VAT Expenses
The Regional Government has authorised a non-repayable grant of €967.97 for the Centro Cívico Cultural e Social da Ribeira Seca - Tuna de Câmara de Machico. The amount covers VAT paid in 2025 on expenses essential to the tuna’s activities.
The Centro Cívico Cultural e Social da Ribeira Seca - Tuna de Câmara de Machico will receive financial support of €967.97 under the regional programme supporting philharmonic bands, tunas, folk groups and traditional music groups.
Resolution of the Regional Government Council No. 949/2026 authorises the conclusion of a programme contract, effective from the date of signature until 31 December 2026. The support takes the form of a non-repayable grant and is equivalent to the VAT paid and borne by the organisation in 2025, for which it was not entitled to claim a deduction.
Eligible expenses include the purchase, maintenance and repair of musical instruments, uniforms or costumes, sheet music and consumables essential to the activities, provided they are used exclusively for that purpose. The application was assessed by the Regional Directorate for Culture and approved as it met the applicable requirements.
The programme was established by Regional Legislative Decree No. 10/2018/M of 25 July and regulated by Ordinance No. 95/2019 of 11 March. The resolution also approves the draft programme contract and authorises the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture to sign it on behalf of the Region.
