Government revokes funding for two cultural projects that will not go ahead

The Regional Government Council revoked two decisions to fund cultural projects after their organisers said they could not go ahead because rescheduling was not possible. The revoked grants were capped at €5,000 and €1,500.

The Regional Government revoked two resolutions authorising cultural cooperation agreements after the respective organisers said they could not carry out the projects because rescheduling was not possible. The decisions terminate all effects of the previous authorisations.

  • Daniel Abel Bolba - Regional Government Council Resolution No. 950/2026 revokes Resolution No. 853/2026, dated 8 September. The earlier resolution authorised an agreement to produce and stage three concerts of Simeon Ten Holt’s “Canto Ostinato” project in 2026, with a financial contribution of no more than €5,000.
  • Retoiça - Cultural, Sports and Recreational Association - Regional Government Council Resolution No. 951/2026 revokes Resolution No. 798/2026, dated 10 August. The earlier decision authorised an agreement for the EcoMusicalis Sol Oriens / Sol Occidens project, which planned a series of two concerts in a natural setting in 2026, with a contribution of up to €1,500.

Both revocations were approved by the Government Council at a plenary meeting on 1 October 2026. With the resolutions’ effects terminated, the authorisations for the agreements and the financial contributions planned for these projects are no longer in force.
