Cultural Project 'Tela Sonora' Receives 2,500 Euro Support
Musician Miguel Ângelo Abreu Marques will perform a concert that fuses music and visual arts with social themes, with support from the Regional Directorate of Culture.
Financial support has been authorized for a cultural project that combines music, visual arts, and reflection on social issues. The project is by Madeiran musician Miguel Ângelo Abreu Marques.
The Regional Government Council Resolution No. 814/2026 authorizes the signing of a cultural cooperation protocol and grants a contribution not exceeding €2,500.00. The project is titled 'Tela Sonora - Intervém(são)' and will consist of a concert presentation in 2026.
The initiative proposes a fusion of traditional Madeiran instruments, such as the 'viola de arame' and the Portuguese guitar, with visual arts. Each presentation will be associated with a relevant social theme, such as animal abuse, domestic violence, mental health, or climate change. The event will take place in an emblematic space in the region.
