The Council of Government has revoked the cultural cooperation agreement with artist Maria Clara Ornelas Camacho de Andrade Costa, which planned three concerts in Funchal and Machico, due to the impossibility of implementing the project.
Regional Government Council Resolution No. 799/2026 revokes Resolution No. 750/2026, of July 28, which authorized the signing of a cultural development and cooperation agreement with music teacher and artist Maria Clara Ornelas Camacho de Andrade Costa.
The project, titled "Between Devotion and Desire," involved holding three concerts in the municipalities of Funchal and Machico in 2026, with financial support not exceeding 2,500 euros. The artist informed that she cannot carry out the project due to "impossibility of rescheduling."
With the publication of this resolution, all effects of the previously authorized agreement cease.
The Government Council approved financial support for a philharmonic band, a film production company, and a theater group, with a total investment exceeding 30,000 euros.
The Regional Government Council authorized the signing of protocols and the granting of financial contributions for three distinct projects, representing a total investment of over 233 thousand euros.
The Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas Association (ANSA) will receive 3.3 million euros in financial support for music practice and training until 2028.
