Three Madeiran cultural entities will receive financial support to compensate for VAT incurred on expenses for instruments, uniforms, and consumable materials in 2025.
The Regional Government has approved the allocation of financial support to three entities under the program to support philharmonic bands, tunas, folk groups, and traditional music groups. The support, which corresponds to the amount of VAT paid by the entities in 2025 on goods and services essential to their activities, was formalized through program contracts.
The beneficiaries and their respective amounts are as follows:
The support, in the form of a non-repayable subsidy, is intended to compensate for VAT incurred on the purchase, conservation, maintenance, and repair of musical instruments and uniforms, as well as the acquisition of repertoire and consumable materials (such as picks, strings, or oil). The contracts are effective until December 31, 2026.
Changes to the payment schedule for the decorative lights and fireworks show for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations have been approved.
The Government Council rectified a previous resolution to correct information on seating capacity and athlete distribution for the 2026 Autonomy Padel Tournament.
The Autonomous Region of Madeira will financially support the production of a Traditional Nativity Scene, an animated short film, and a series of three Baroque music concerts.
