The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized a protocol with the Nuvem Aquarela Association for itinerant performances at the Quinta das Cruzes Museum.
The Regional Government Council, through Resolution no. 580/2026, approved the signing of a cultural development and cooperation protocol with the Nuvem Aquarela Association. This initiative aims to produce and perform itinerant shows with illuminated puppets, under the theme "Quinta das Luzes", which will take place throughout 2026 at the iconic Quinta das Cruzes Museum.
The financial support granted by the Autonomous Region of Madeira for the realization of this cultural project will not exceed €12,000.00. The protocol, which is in effect from the date of its signing until December 31, 2026, aims to:
The execution of the protocol has been delegated to the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Director of Culture, with the expenditure duly provided for in the 2026 Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The Government Council approved financial support for a Christmas musical, a cycle of contemporary music concerts, and a multidisciplinary arts festival.
The Regional Government has accepted the donation of a valuable 16th-century Luso-Flemish sculpture, offered by two companies under cultural patronage, which will be integrated into the collection of the Quinta das Cruzes Museum.
The Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Secretariat for Finance have authorized 15,000 euros in support for the Madeira Bridge Association to host the international event in 2026.
