Ordinance no. 234/2026, from the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, amends the regulations for the Autonomous Region of Madeira's Craft Valorization Award, focusing on the restructuring of the jury responsible for evaluating applications.
The main changes to article 3 of the regulation include:
- Composition: The jury will now consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of five members, appointed by the board of directors of IVBAM, IP-RAM.
- Selection criteria: Members must possess recognized competence in areas such as crafts, arts and trades, design, culture, economic development, public administration, academia, or the business sector.
- Operation: The jury will be chaired by one of its members, with a casting vote in the event of a tie, and its members must ensure the confidentiality and impartiality of the process.
The measure aims to adapt the jury's composition to the specificity of the competition areas, ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in the selection of winners.
