The Regional Government of Madeira has approved financial support for the Santo António Cultural Center and the Proeza Altruísta Cultural Association to promote cultural activities in 2026.
The Regional Government Council approved, in a plenary session held on June 11, 2026, the granting of financial support to two cultural entities in the Region, aiming to promote traditions and decentralize cultural offerings.
Both supports are valid until December 31, 2026, with the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture ensuring the execution of the respective contracts and protocols.
The Government Council approved financial support for a Christmas musical, a cycle of contemporary music concerts, and a multidisciplinary arts festival.
The Regional Government has accepted the donation of a valuable 16th-century Luso-Flemish sculpture, offered by two companies under cultural patronage, which will be integrated into the collection of the Quinta das Cruzes Museum.
The Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Secretariat for Finance have authorized 15,000 euros in support for the Madeira Bridge Association to host the international event in 2026.
