Regional Government grants support to four Madeiran cultural entities
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved cultural cooperation protocols with four local associations, totaling an investment of 34,500 euros for artistic projects in 2026.
The Regional Government Council has authorized the signing of four cultural development and cooperation protocols, aiming to strengthen cultural offerings and decentralize activities in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The financial support, granted under Regional Legislative Decree no. 25/99/M, is intended for specific projects in visual arts, music, and theater.
Beneficiary entities and support:
- Teatro Metaphora - Associação de Amigos das Artes: Support of €5,000.00 for the preparation and painting of an urban art mural as part of the Metamorphosis project in Câmara de Lobos (Resolution no. 585/2026).
- ABFRAM - Associação de Bandas Filarmónicas da Região Autónoma da Madeira: Support of €8,000.00 for conducting training for philharmonic band performers (Resolution no. 586/2026).
- ADIM - Associação de Amadores de Arte Dramática Inglesa da Madeira: Support of €17,500.00 for the production and performance of the play The Maias (Resolution no. 587/2026).
- Banda Recreio Camponês: Support of €4,000.00 for the production of four philharmonic music concerts focused on the municipality of Câmara de Lobos (Resolution no. 588/2026).
The protocols are valid until December 31, 2026, and aim to promote Madeiran cultural identity and engage new audiences.
