The Regional Government has approved a budget increase of 2 million euros for the renewable energy incentives program +ENERGIA, raising the total allocation to 7.5 million euros.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved a significant budget increase for the renewable energy incentives program +ENERGIA. The total allocation for the program has been increased by €2,002,464.00, rising from 5.5 million to €7,502,464.00.
This increase, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) under the reprogramming approved by the European Council, is specifically intended to support applications to the program that could not be processed previously due to insufficient funds. The goal of the +ENERGIA program is to support the acquisition and installation of electricity production and storage systems for self-consumption, as well as equipment for producing hot water and heat using renewable sources.
The changes were formalized through two ordinances:
The ordinances take effect retroactively to the publication date of Notice No. 02/C21-i11.01-RAM/2024, thereby allowing the funding of pending applications.
