The Regional Secretary has changed the arrangements for covering the chief of staff during absences or periods of unavailability. Powers will first pass to deputy Marco Paulo Lira Baptista and, if he is unavailable, to José Marco Cabral de Oliveira.
Order No. 401/2026 amends paragraph 2 of Order No. 412/2025, concerning the delegation of powers to Sara Mónica Fernandes da Silva Relvas, Chief of Staff to the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries.
During the chief of staff’s absence or unavailability, the delegated powers will be exercised by deputy Marco Paulo Lira Baptista. If he is also absent or unavailable, they will be exercised by deputy José Marco Cabral de Oliveira.
According to the order, the amendment is intended to streamline procedures and avoid having to submit every decision to the Regional Secretary. The measure entered into force immediately, on 1 October 2026.
The Regional Civil Protection Service has opened recruitment to fill a second-tier middle-management position in its Planning and Risk Management Division. Applications may be submitted within 10 working days of the notice being published.
Brígida Maria de Oliveira Brazão takes over as acting director of the Legal Office, while Ana Cristina Campos Gouveia is appointed to lead the Planning and Financial Administration Services of the Regional Directorate of Fisheries. The appointments take effect on 1 October 2026.
Three orders appoint heads of the Planning, Financial Support and Legal Support divisions of the Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Development. The appointments are for one year on a commission-of-service basis and take effect on 1 October 2026.
