Santana Municipality awards over 19,000 euros in grants for sports events
The municipality of Santana has signed four program contracts, totalling 19,190.24 euros, to support the organization of various competitions and sports events in the county.
The Santana Municipal Council granted, between May and August 2026, four sports development program contracts, under Municipal Regulation No. 1131/2024. The grants, totalling 19,190.24 euros, aim to foster the organization of competitions in the county. The contracts were signed by Councillor Élia Maria de Freitas Gouveia and published through Contract No. 143/2026.
The beneficiary entities and their respective grants are as follows:
- Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Santanense via Program Contract No. 10/2026: €4,000.00 for participation in stages of the "World Track Series" circuit.
- Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Santanense via Program Contract No. 11/2026: €3,400.00 for organizing the "National Petanque Championship - Triplet Variant 2026".
- Club Sports da Madeira via Program Contract No. 12/2026: €5,500.00 for organizing the "Rali da Madeira 2026" (Madeira Rally 2026).
- Associação de Atletismo da Região Autónoma da Madeira via Program Contract No. 13/2026: €1,790.24 for organizing the events "," and "Pico Ruivo Vertical Challenge" 2026.
- Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Santanense via Program Contract No. 14/2026: €2,000.00 for organizing the "Madeira Enduro Bicycle Championship".
- Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Santanense via Program Contract No. 15/2026: €2,500.00 for organizing the "National Indoor Speed Skating Cup".
These grants aim to promote, organize, and develop sports in the municipality of Santana.
