The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture has appointed three senior technicians to head newly created divisions within his office, on a one-year service commission basis.
The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture, António Eduardo de Freitas Jesus, has appointed three division heads for newly created organic units within the Regional Secretary's Office (GSRTAC). The appointments, made under the statute for managerial staff, are for a duration of one year, on a service commission basis, and are effective from September 1, 2026.

The three professionals are senior technicians integrated into the Centralized Human Resources Management System of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture. The appointments aim to provide the necessary leadership for the newly created divisions within the flexible structure of the GSRTAC, approved in July, to fulfill their assigned duties.
Laura Sofia Jesus Freitas has been appointed to lead the Division of Asset Management, Monitoring and Reporting at the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth. Her three-year appointment takes effect on 15 October 2026.
The Regional Roads Directorate will now have heads for its Technical Coordination and Specialties, Conservation and Maintenance, and Payroll Processing and Management divisions. The three appointments are for one-year service commissions and take effect on 12 October 2026.
The €60,000 cost of legal representation for the Region and legal support in a court case has been rescheduled again. The order allocates €52,250 to 2027, alongside amounts assigned to 2016 and 2023.
